$30m Bli Bli retail village ‘weeks away’ from completion

By Brianne Mayne

THE next stage of Bli Bli’s $30 million village is a fortnight away from completion with the final touches being added.

The second stage of the multi-level commercial precinct will soon be completed including a mix of professional suites, retail shops, restaurants and cafes.

White’s Commercial Property Group’s Michael White said the final steps were currently in the works after years of careful planning.

Once operational, the village will offer a range of medical and wellness services including a doctor’s surgery, a dentist, pathology, remedial massage and more – some of which have already opened in its first stage.

Mr White predicted the centre to cater to 500 people daily.

“We are finishing off some outside works to the surface road, including laying down bitumen and installing traffic lights,” Mr White said.

“We are hoping for early May. Once that is done, then we can start to showcase it to tenants.”

The Sunshine Coast Hotels Group was set to open a tavern last December, but Mr White said this had been pushed back to later this year.

“We are looking at starting it in the second half of the year,” he said.

“Yes, plenty of people are talking about the pub.”
