The opening of the Second Stage of the new $30 million Bli Bli Village Town Centre Development
officially opened on Wednesday 14 August.
Stage Two includes a F45 Fitness Studio, a Salvos Retail Store, a Photography Studio, Ray White Bli
Bli, Sunshine Coast Radiology, an accountancy practice as well as an Indian restaurant. Popular local
coffee operators Daniel and Zac Carew have also recently opened another Bean there Done That
café in Stage One of the precinct.
Developers Michael and Roz White said the new businesses will complement the sixteen operators
who have already successfully opened in Stage 1.
“We have had great feedback about stage one operators which includes a whole floor of medical
and health practitioners to service the whole community, as well as a large Jetts gym, Bli Bli
Boardrooms, a Hairdresser, Barber, a massage therapist, Nail salon, pharmacy, Sunshine Hospice, a
fashion outlet and a Candle and Gift Store.
“Bli Bli Village has abundant undercover parking so it’s a one stop shop for local residents who now
don’t need to go outside the community for their shopping, entertainment, medical, health and
fitness requirements,” Michael said.
Michael also praised Sunshine Coast Councillor Steve Robinson who worked to ensure funding was
provided for a number of beautification activities which significantly improved the precinct’s
presentation.
“Sunshine Coast Council deserve a lot of praise for their commitment to improve local footpaths and
landscaping along with the undergrounding of powerlines. We have also funded new traffic lights
which will improve road safety and accessibility for pedestrians,” Michael said.
Roz said they were pleased with the quality and diversity of the many tenants who have committed
to opening their businesses within the Bli Bli Village Centre.
“There is a great mix of health and well-being practices, professional services and retail tenancies
along with food and beverage operators. Stage two is currently 85% leased but there are still six
vacancies suitable for further tenancies including food outlets, as well as professional services and
retail outlets,” Roz said.
The Final Stage of the Bli Bli Village Centre will include a Hotel/Tavern with 20 short term
accommodation units will be operated by well known locals Scott and Kelli Armstrong whose
portfolio include the successful Brightwater, Bellvista and Parkland Taverns.
Michael anticipated that the final stage would be completed in late 2020.
